Class Rules for Religion III - Mr.Provost RESPECT GOD RESPECT OTHERS & SELF RESPECT LEARNING Any behavior that is disrespectful to God will be unacceptable. Mistreating the Sacred Scriptures or misusing God’s name would be examples of failing to respect God. Any behavior that is disruptive to learning will be unacceptable. Any behavior that is rude or disrespectful to fellow students or to the teacher is also unacceptable. It is acceptable for a student to be unsure of God’s existence or plan, or to disagree with what is taught, but no one is free to express it in any way that they please. These rules are meant to create an environment where each student can learn. We must work together to make every class worthwhile. GRADING POLICY Each quarterly grade will be computed as follows: Tests (3-4) 60% Home/Classwork 20% Quizzes/Reports 15% Participation 5% MAKE-UP WORK Students have the same number of days to make up work as the amount of days absent with an excused absence. It is the student’s responsibility to follow through on work or tests missed. If the student is absent only on the day of the test, they are expected to take the make-up on the day they return to school. All tests/quizzes will be made up during lunch or after school. RESPONSIBILITIES Students are responsible for bringing textbooks, Bible, marble composition notebook along with writing utensils every day. After the first week of school, students will not be allowed to share a book. Failure to come prepared will effect the participation grade. EXTRA HELP Extra help is available from 3-3:30 every Thursday and the day prior to testing days SERVICE PROJECT - Please read page 11 of the student handbook. |
